Ashlynn is a St. Louis native who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While at Point Park, she had the pleasure of working with faculty members Jason McDole, Garfield Lemonius and Judith Leifer-Bentz among many others. After graduation, she moved back to St. Louis to pursue her career in dance by working as a trainee for The Big Muddy Dance Company, as well as freelancing in the Saint Louis area. Currently, she is starting her 2nd season as a company dancer with Resilience Dance Company, while also taking on a new role as the company’s executive assistant. Ashlynn is also a regular student of The Gyrotonic Method and recently became a member of the online program, Progressing Ballet Technique. Both of these techniques are used to help facilitate organic, healthy and strong movement qualities that lead to a better knowledge of one’s body and a more sustainable dance career. Ashlynn is passionate about spreading her knowledge and love for dance to the future generation of dancers and is so excited to be a faculty member this season at The Beat!
