Jessie moved to Los Angeles, CA to continue her dance education at the EDGE Performing Arts Center in Hollywood. While in L.A., she trained with Sheryl Murakami, Ricky Lam, Malaya, and Karen Chuang as well as many other teachers and choreographers prominent in the industry. Jessie was one of 25 dancers (out of 1000 dancers auditioning) to be offered agency representation by “The Movement Talent Agency”. She has had many successful auditions, being placed on “hiring lists” for 3 different cruise lines: Disney, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. She has also won full tuition scholarships to dance conventions such as Dupree Dance Convention and Hollywood Vibe. Jessie has modeled for the dance costume catalog, “Weissman’s Costumes” and the dance and cheer catalog, “Yipes!”. She also appeared in a promotional video for Scrubs and Beyond. Jessie has been a dancer/model for Paul Mitchell The School - St. Louis hair shows and has interned at the St. Louis Tap Festival. She graduated from the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Kaskaskia College with a 4.0 GPA, Summa Cum Laude. Since opening The Beat, she has won multiple special judges awards for her dances, won multiple choreography awards, and had an undefeated season for Body Language (2019). To further her teaching education even more, Jessie attended the DanceLife Teacher Conference by Rhee Gold in Arizona. Miss Jessie can't wait to see how far the talented kids from The Beat will go!
